teddy bear hotel....and shiny innards

all work and no play makes juana a dull girl. so i had to rectify the situation, wandering in SL.

i visited poetik velvets, and found myself highly amused at one of teh doorways in the hotel. one of them opened into a large gullet leading into various stomachs. you pass through steaming puddles of digestive juices, with the most evocative background noises, and at the end of it all is a vast room with prim noobs being digested. most amusingly one was labeled "phillip linden".

of course i had to pose with such an important personage.

my amusement with entrails goes back quite into the mists of my personal history. sadly they were often a part of our daily lives, as tripe is considered a delicacy among my peeps. it's so gross, but i remember very distinctly seeing goats slaughtered and their intestines removed, cleaned, and cooked.

later in life i had another little brush with entrail-dom. i think i must be one of the few people who has ever been complimented on their intestines. during my caesarean an unnamed person remarked very amused, that my guts were very pretty, all pink and shiny. i was conscious at the time (heavily drugged) and not amused at all. but now that it's past it makes me laugh because it is sort of funny, in a peculiar sort of way. its not every day that one's entrails get complimented on their beauty.

which brings us to the other doorway....

it was full of teddy bears. apparently there's a 50s children's book featuring teddy bears and dolls in subversively naughty scenarios...i could not resist.

i could hear tedi's voice saying the vilest of things as i wandered through the dollhouse doing semi-questionable things with the teddy bears most thoughtfully provided by the hotel.

tedi had another show tonight. it was a furry themed one. i am not a furry, and so it was hard to start from scratch, but i didn't want to look like everyone else. After searching i managed to find a vampire chihuahua AV by Shaduhka Druart on Xstreet. sadly it's not mod so the wretched hair had to stay and i was in a total hurry so ended up wearing a men's Rfyre outfit--a gothy toreador thing, that made juana look vaguely eastern european. it was such a horror finding boots for this av. I had no idea what it takes to dress a furry. It's hard! but i had an ugly pair of boots i found in one of those scary little fleamarket-like malls that sort of worked. and I added a tekel'li torc and bracers.

troy looked really scary, he wore a very intense little bunny av. I daresay he looked *crazed*. it was interesting to see all the different furry avatars too--a variety of them were there. But you can totally spot the "born furry" from the poseur furries.

a fundraiser at odaesan house featuring dj tedi. :) this is a retro-post, meaning, i wore this on the date uploaded but i am only getting around to writing this like a month later. yet another reason to love blogs, because one can do this sort of timetravel without major issues. yet another reason why i seriously doubt anyone in their right mind would bother to read this little diary of mine......

I found the hair and outfit while looking for something else entirely. this appears to be a normal mode of clothing discovery. i am not sure exactly what this might be called, except perhaps club girl-ish......I do love the hair though, it's really well made and has such a lovely wave in it.

Heavens! it is amazing what happens when you are just busy being a librarian. i was standing at the second life librarian reference desk when one of my acquaintances arrived in the most splendid outfit........i had to find out what it was and where it was from, and she spoke the three words that have now become so powerful as to put me under a spell.....The Black Canary. When i visited it amused me much because while i was binging i was given a cup of tea and company by the sweet salesgirl.

Of course i don't take things straight up and so i added a collar and cuffs from different places, and a cigarette holder too. I wore this to Troy's second fundraising party, because his house just screamed out for it. And it amuses me to as this is probably one of my more librarianish gowns.

we were both blabbing and came up with an amusing plan to make little skits. troy called it a viral invitation. the cool thing about SL is that you can have anything, and so the demonic trash talking tedi of our imaginations is creepily doable.

i went to troy's party on monday at odaesan house. it is an amazing place. it seems to scream for a formal so i wore a nicky ree gown. grady was there, and wearing a magnificent dracula style tuxedo from schadenfreude (i think). troy wore a suit with winklepickers and emoish hair, very nice. i didnt know anybody else.

i have decided that geisha ish things are my mania right now so i wore a february kanzashi (plum blossom) even though it's still january because it matched my dress. i have this cigarette mania too, even though i don't smoke.

but then the next day troy came by and we were gossiping and we were giggling about having a little skit about being hungover the next day. he made me laugh hysterically at the IM dramah happening behind the scenes. this is why i don't IM hosts because i know it must be nuts for them.

i am laughing so hard. this is way too much fun. and this is as good as an introduction as any to my friend sublime porte. he has a very complex nature. i have described him at length elsewhere in pillowblog, and so don't have time to repeat all that i have said.

but this is so very representative of him i think. and so i put this as a souvenir of him. it is actually proper as well, because he was the one who pushed me to have a blog, and then after told me in his sublime way, that it was too texty and i should have pictures and things throughout.
